504th Fighter Squadron, 339th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force
Marinell scored four confirmed aerial victories before being shot down
in Northern France on 13 August 1944, killing its pilot, Lieutenant Myer R. Winkelman.
Acquired by Maurice Hammond in 1998, it was restored and flew again in 2008 under
the registration G-MRLL.
