ERC 571 was a component of the Groupe de Chasse III/4, based in Morocco at the time of the German invasion. It was equipped with Dewoitine D.510 fighters although these were not equipped with cannon as was usually the case.
The Morane-Saulnier MS.315 was a primary trainer, which also acted as liaison and service aircraft. The Morane-Saulnier MS.315 n°350 (F-AZHL) was restored by the Association des Vieilles Hélices du Pays de Montbéliard and bears these colours. Only two aircraft of this type are still airworthy.
