Afterburners blazing, three Dassault Super Mystère B.2 fighters of the 10e Escadre de Chasse dive earthwards in close formation.

These Super Mystère belong to Escadron de Chasse 2/10 « Seine » as indicated by their 10-Rx codes. Operating from Creil (Base Aérienne 110), the squadron was also known as « Le Cercle de Chasse de Paris » as its mission was primarily to protect the French capital from air attack.

EC 2/10 flew the Super Mystère B.2 from December 1959 to September 1968, when it received its first Dassault Mirage IIIC. The Super Mystère was the first French fighter capable of level supersonic flight.

Created in 1954, the squadron was deactivated in May 1985 and its traditions have since been suspended.
