O-1 "Bird Dog"
Cessna O-1D Bird Dog (s/n 57-2797) of the 73rd Aviation Company "Warriors", US Army, seen at
Nha Trang, South Vietnam, in March 1964. The VHF antenna installation on the fuselage
spine was one of the modifications made to TO-1Ds (TL-19D) that were converted to
O-1D standard. Of the 310 TO-1Ds converted, over one third were destroyed.
