James Paine, Spitfire Mk VC MA674, No 451 Squadron RAAF, 1943

Australian James Paine flew bombers early in the war before converting to fighters. He served with 450 and 451 (RAAF) Squadrons, eventually commanding the latter. Repatriated in 1944, he ended his service with the RAAF in 1945 without further ops.
