Since 1961, the NATO Tiger Meet has become one of the most distinctive gatherings in military aviation. Born from the tradition of squadrons using the tiger as their emblem, it brings together allied and partner air units for a demanding operational exercise combining tactical training, international cooperation and squadron spirit.
Over the decades, the Tiger Meet has also become famous for its spectacular aircraft schemes. For the occasion, many aircraft receive special tiger-inspired decorations, from bold stripes and stylised big cats to colourful, highly creative designs. This selection brings together illustrations of these unique aircraft, where military aviation history meets aviation art.
